Until next time, I'll leave you with this deep thought..
I want to inspire people. I want someone to look
at me and say "Because of you I didn't give up."
Melissa A. Montavon was born and raised in Ohio. She was abandoned by her biological parents at an early age and was placed in a number of foster homes. She was adopted at the age of four along with one of her biological siblings. Melissa endured many traumatic experiences in life starting with child sexual abuse, sexual abuse as a young adult as well as finding herself in a cycle of domestic violence relationships which she she, in time, overcame and survived. Melissa did this while suffering from a variety of different diagnosis' from different doctors asking with her experimental self medicating phase. She not only survived but she has thrived so that she can share her story in the hopes to inspire others and offer unprofessional advice and support to whomever seeks her out for it. She is the proud mother of three children, two dogs and a supportive wife. She has the love and support of her immediate family and is shown constant support from friends on social media. She has currently finished her first book which is where all her passion lies titled "When the Lights Go Out My Innocence is Lost', but she also is working on a book of poetry that she is collaborating with her daughter and wife on, as well as a book of fiction based on how one copies living with invisible mental illnessess. Melissa is an artist in all aspects; she enjoys sketching and painting on canvases. Melissa has recently began selling her canvas paintings as well as donating them to fundraisers and benefits as much as possible.
